Terry Mitchell is Jackson Thornton Utilities’ senior consultant. Mitchell serves all Utility categories including electric, natural gas and water distribution systems.
Mitchell holds the Public Power Manager certification from the American Public Power Association and is a licensed CPA in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee. He is a Certified Rate Design Analyst and is active in both state and local industry associations including National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, Alabama Rural Electric Association, Alabama Propane Gas Association, Alabama Natural Gas Association, National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives (NSAC) and the Electric Cities Association. Mitchell received an Award of Excellence for his six years of service as National Director for Electric Cooperative Chapters on the NSAC Board. He is a graduate of Auburn University and volunteers his time working with many community organizations. Mitchell is an alumnus of Leadership Montgomery and is active on the Administrative Board of Montgomery First United Methodist Church. He holds professional membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.
