
Rich Compton has more than 20 years of experience in the utilities industry and has been involved in audit, accounting, and consulting services. He oversees the cost consulting and regulatory compliance for the firm’s telecommunications clients and has also provided accounting assistance and utility training to clients. Compton has provided audit services to electric utilities, as well as consulting services including rate analysis, regulatory compliance, and general accounting assistance. In addition to these services, he manages the Board of Trustees election process for several cooperatives.
Compton is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery, serves as a board member and Team Captain for the YMCA of Greater Montgomery’s Hitchcock Committee, and is current treasurer of the Associate Committee of the Telecommunications Association of the Southeast (TELSE). He received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his MBA from Auburn University Montgomery. He holds professional membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), and the Society of Depreciation Professionals.
