Nancy Brown was born in Saigon, Vietnam. At the age of three, her family settled in Montgomery where she spent her youth. She graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1995 and joined Jackson Thornton a month later.
Brown’s focus was primarily accounting and auditing with a concentration in employee benefit plans. She is a CPA and has earned the CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist), RPA (Retirement Plans Associate) and GBA (Group Benefits Associate) designations, having passed five comprehensive exams and met the standards established by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. She also earned the PPCTM (Professional Plan Consultant) designation, having specialized knowledge of retirement plan compliance requirements, common plan services and plan administration. In 2012, Brown became an investment advisor and joined the Jackson Thornton Asset Management team to consult with retirement plan clients.
She holds professional membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialist.
Brown is a member of First Baptist Church Prattville and serves on their finance committee, volunteers as a Vietnamese interpreter for the Autauga, Elmore and Montgomery county public school systems and is a Leadership Montgomery Legacy Class member.
