Mark Baker serves as the principal of the Healthcare group at Jackson Thornton, where he has worked since graduating with a Masters of Accountancy degree from the University of Alabama in 1997. Baker’s practice focuses on providing audit, tax and consulting services to long-term care facilities, physician practices and other healthcare operations. He provides tax and consulting services to closely-held businesses and professional services firms as well.
Baker is a licensed CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), on which he serves as a member of the Board of Directors; and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
Baker has served as Treasurer of the Brantwood’s Children’s Home and on the Budget and Allocations Committee of the River Region United Way. Baker resides in Wetumpka, Alabama, where is he a member of Mulder United Methodist Church.
