L. Jerry Mitchell joined Jackson Thornton in 1974, becoming a principal in 1980. For more than 35 years, he has provided consulting expertise to the telecommunications industry through the firm’s Utilities Division (a member of the Telergee Alliance).
In May 2006, Mitchell began serving as an investment advisor representative with Jackson Thornton Asset Management. He is accredited by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants with Personal Financial Specialist certification.
An honors graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Auburn University, Mitchell is an active member of the National Telephone Cooperative Association, the United States Telephone Association and the Cellular Telephone Industry Association.
He is a deacon and former member of the Finance Committee for First Baptist Church in Montgomery, and is actively involved with the annual Jimmy Hitchcock Memorial Award Selection Committee.
Mitchell, a CPA in three states, is a professional member of the AICPA, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee SBA.
