Jay R. Newsome

Jay Newsome joined the firm in 2017 and specializes in the financial institution audit and assurance work. He is a member of the Dothan Area Young Professionals and has served as treasurer, vice president, and president of the Southeast Chapter of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. Newsome is also a graduate of the Alabama Bankers Association (ABA) Banking School, where he was a Kay Ivey Outstanding Bank Award winner. He is currently an instructor at the ABA Banking School. Newsome is also a board member and treasurer of Music South of Dothan.

Newsome holds professional membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA). He received both his undergraduate degree and MBA from Troy University.
