Montgomery, Alabama – August 29, 2013 – Jackson Thornton, a certified public accounting and consulting firm, is pleased to announce several promotions in offices throughout its three state footprint.
Joseph Vickery, CPA, to Senior Manager. Vickery, who joined the Firm in 1998, specializes in not-for-profit and government audits, and manages the Employee Benefit Plan audit practice. Vickery has served on the Jackson Thornton Managers’ Advisory Committee, and has served as a Loaned Executive for the United Way for the last two years. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Auburn University.
Jason Davis, CPA, to Senior Manager. Davis, who joined the Firm in 2001, specializes in financial institution and cotton industry audits. Davis is in his second year of the three-year Alabama Banking School and has served on the Firm’s Managers’ Advisory Committee. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Auburn University.
Adam Causey, CPA, PFS, to Senior Manager. Causey, who joined the Firm in 2006, provides tax and consulting services for small businesses and individuals. Causey currently serves as president of the Jackson Thornton Young Professionals group and serves on the Firm’s Managers’ Advisory Committee. He is a Board member for the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Montgomery Zoological Society. Causey serves as Treasurer of EMERGE and was selected as a member of the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts Junior Executive Board for 2013. He is also a member of Helicity Montgomery and a Chamber Ambassador. Causey received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University Montgomery.
Brian Davis, VCP, MCSA, to Director of Information Technology. Davis joined Jackson Thornton Technologies in 2003 as a Network Engineer and was promoted to Manager of Internal IT for all Jackson Thornton companies in 2008. He holds the VMware Certified Professional (VCP, VCP4) and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certifications. Davis is a member of the Kiwanis Club. He received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University Montgomery.
Jackson Thornton also promoted Will Jones, CPA, and William Sheffield, CPA, of the Firm’s Utilities Group, to Manager; and Ashley Taylor, CPA, CVA, of the Business Valuation and Litigation Consulting Group, to Manager.
