Jackson Thornton Announces Promotions

Montgomery, Alabama – August 1, 2014 – Jackson Thornton, a certified public accounting and consulting firm, is pleased to announce several promotions in offices throughout its three state footprint.

Allison Guice, CPA/ABV, CVA, to Senior Manager. Guice, who joined the Firm in 2006, specializes in business valuation, overseeing that side of the Valuation & Litigation group’s practice. She has served on the Steering Committee for the Jackson Thornton Young Professional’s (JTYP) group since its inception and has also served as Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the Montgomery chapter of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA). Guice currently serves as a member of the Junior Board for Child Protect, and the boards of the ASCPA and the Montgomery Estate Planning Council. She has also served on the Course Review Committee for the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts since 2009. Guice was recently selected as the 2014 AICPA/ASCPA Women to Watch – Emerging Leader. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Auburn University Montgomery.

Selina Sexton to Director of Firm Administration. Sexton, who joined the firm in 1992, became Firm Administrator in 2000. She chairs the firm’s Utilization Committee and oversees scheduling for all staff accountants. Sexton oversees and provides guidance for administrative functions throughout the firm. She is a graduate of Holmes Junior College.

Jackson Thornton also promoted Daniel Tew, CPA, to Manager and Sakina Kochi of the Internal IT department, to IT Helpdesk Manager.
