Lyvonnia S. Poppell
Lyvonnia Poppell is a principal in the Tax Group of Jackson Thornton. She brings over twenty years and a broad base of experience to her work with Jackson Thornton's clients, specializing in tax planning, consulting and research. She is a speaker on various tax issues.
Poppell is a graduate of Auburn Montgomery, and earned her Masters of Taxation from Georgia State University. She entered public accounting as a Tax Associate with Price Waterhouse Coopers in Montgomery, Alabama.
She holds professional membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA). Poppell is a Board member of the Montgomery Estate Planning Council, a Board member for the Federal Tax Clinic and a member of the State and Local Tax Committee of the ASCPA. She is past-President of LAMPlighters, Inc., and attends First Baptist Church of Montgomery.
